Points Matter

When I was younger, I liked to go fast. That was me over there. I admit, I got a few tickets. I calculated that the present value of 2 points on an otherwise clean license had a present value of about $5,000.00 including loss of good driver, insurance, and how long it would take them to fall off. This value goes up exponentially if you have other points on your record.

The point is, while the fine might not matter to some people, the points always matter. It is always worth fighting every moving violation, no matter how small the fine is - because points matter. Get enough of them in a period of time and the DMV will take your license. Then how are you supposed to get to work?
